Our helmet best performs at night and when it's dark. On a bright day, they're not very visible. The intention of the helmet is also to light you up and keep you visible, not light up the roads ahead of you.
This was intentional.
As they sit higher than traditional bike lights, at eye level of drivers, we did not want LEDs that were too bright, especially as our helmet operates with flashing mode (fast and slow) to enhance visibility. High-intensity, flashing lights at eye level were, we decided, something which could distract drivers and endanger rather than protect cyclists.
