Note: The automatic brake (warning) light feature will drain your battery life faster.
By default, your helmet should arrive with the automatic warning light feature turned off. There are two ways to turn it on.
1. By the helmet
- Hold the power button until the helmet is in pairing mode. On your Matrix you will see a white or red snake moving around the edges of the panel. On a Street helmet the rear lights will be 'breathing' when in pairing mode.
- Press the power button five times.
- The 'turn signal' lights should light up red.
- Hold the helmet's power button to turn it off.
The next time you turn on the helmet, the automatic brake light feature will be activated.
You follow the exact same steps to turn OFF the feature (except at step 3, the 'turn signal lights' should be off).
You can check the below video - with a Kickstart helmet - for reference:
2. By the phone app
This requires you to have paired the helmet to your phone.
Click Helmet Settings > Brake Settings > Tap "Inactive"
The automatic brake lights on your helmet are activated and the sign will change to "Active".
We also recommend the sensitivity to be always on the lowest setting. You can change the sensitivity by moving the circle along the "Sensitivity to movement" bar.
